Eurovision, not only music: the outifts of the first night

In anticipation of the final night, which will be held from the stage at the Liverpool Arena in the United Kingdom, let's take a look at the coolest (as well as the most curious) outfits that paraded in the first semifinal of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest. The performances of the representatives of the 37 competing countries are in fact divided into two semifinal evenings, scheduled for May 9 and 11. The final, on the other hand, will be held on Saturday, May 13. Competing for Italy is Marco Mengoni, winner of the Sanremo Festival 2023 with the song "Due Vite."

Marco Mengoni

Italy is among the countries gaining direct access to the final, but an excerpt of Mengoni's performance was already presented on the evening of May 9, giving a glimpse not only of his singing talents but also of the look, which, as for Sanremo, bears the signature of the Maison Versace. For him, an armhole top with a degradé effect studded with pearls and crystals, paired with leather pants with the same pattern as the top continuing on the right hip. Mengoni also chose a leather look (vest + pants, also Versace) for the turquoise carpet, the official presentation show for the competing artists at St. Georges Hall in Liverpool.

Socks in view and striped pullover: draws from the indie wardrobe the outfit of the Maltese The Buskers, which, however, in the time of a song, give way to sequin-covered T-shirts. Always striped, of course.

Mimicat

Loreen

For the favorite, Sweden's Loreen, a futuristic outfit with knee-highs and cut-outs. Rita Ora, super host of the evening, sported a patent leather bustier paired with lace-up ankle boots.
