A project to make tanning technology more efficient, sustainable, and client-friendly

A project aimed at interpreting the development of tanning technology in a new way, bringing together six companies in the sector to grow together by sharing objectives and goals. We are talking about the Italtannery Project, an initiative that the Bergi company is a part of, together with its Bertech division, Ger Elettronica, Erretre, Fratelli Carlessi and i-Tech. Presented last September at Simac, the project aims to offer clients a wide variety of products, all technologically avant-garde and capable of satisfying every need in tanning production. The other objective is to collect data during the various processes in order to identify the critical points to be resolved and optimise the process, both from the point of view of the product and from that of reducing consumption. In addition to this is an even more ambitious objective: to create a process to obtain one leather that is the same as another during processing, eliminating the variables within the production process as much as possible.
