Siamo tra i soci fondatori del Consorzio Vera Pelle al Vegetale, che ha fatto molto per la tracciabilità, dotandosi di un disciplinare tecnico per tracciare le pelli fino al macello e in certi casi anche fino all’allevamento, e introducendo il cartellino di garanzia grazie al quale il cliente può risalire anche alla conceria che ha lavorato il pellame. Come Montana, abbiamo diverse certificazioni, ISO 9001 e 14001, LWG – Silver Rather, e ci impegnano in un costante efficientamento energetico e dei consumi d’acqua, con risultati importanti dal 2017 ad oggi». In merito ai vantaggi della concia ecosostenibile, Alessandro Sordi, executive manager di Arkè Conceria, spiega i pregi del cuoio conciato al vegetale nel settore dell’arredamento: «Oltre a pelletteria, calzatura e abbigliamento, settori nei quali Arkè Conceria opera da sempre, negli ultimi anni ci siamo rivolti anche nell’arredamento con importanti risultati. Il nostro cuoio conciato al naturale viene utilizzato per dare vita a sedie, chaise longue e poltrone di design, con pelle a spessore alto e a taglio vivo, oltre a vari complementi d’arredo come vassoi, portariviste, ripiani di scrivanie, sottobicchieri, etc. Il vantaggio di usare una pelle conciata al vegetale per oggetti pensati per stare in casa, a contatto con le persone, consiste nel fatto che si tratta di un prodotto naturale, resistente al graffio, dal caratteristico odore di cuoio e che invecchia con l’uso diventando sempre più pregevole». As Montana, we have several certifications, ISO 9001 and 14001, LWG - Silver Rather, and we engage in constant energy and water consumption efficiency, with important results from 2017 to date." Regarding the advantages of eco-sustainable tanning, Alessandro Sordi, executive manager of Arkè Conceria, explains the merits of vegetable-tanned leather in the upholstery sector: "In addition to leather goods, footwear and apparel, sectors in which Arkè Conceria has always operated, in recent years we have also turned to upholstery with important results. Our naturally tanned leather is used to give life to chairs, chaise lounges and designer armchairs, with thick, rough-cut leather, as well as various furniture accessories such as trays, magazine racks, desk tops, coasters, etc. The advantage of using vegetable-tanned leather for objects designed to be in the home, in contact with people, is that it is a natural, scratch-resistant product with a characteristic leather smell and that it ages with use, becoming more and more valuable."
