The Prada Group acquires a 10% stake in Rino Mastrotto Group, marking a further step in the agreement between the two companies, active in the luxury supply chain. The agreement also includes the transfer to Rino Mastrotto of 100% of Conceria Superior S.p.A. – of which Prada will acquire the remaining shares – and of the French Tannerie Limoges S.A.S., in addition to a cash investment.

The operation is part of the strategy to strengthen the production chain and aims to integrate skills and resources in the tanning sector.

Founded in the 1960s in Santa Croce sull’Arno, Conceria Superior specializes in calfskin and stands out for its balance between artisanal workmanship and technological innovation. Prada entered the company's capital in 2022.

Tannerie Limoges, active for over seventy years in the tanning of lambskin "plongées" nappa, was majority-acquired by Prada in 2014. The operation allowed the artisanal know-how of the company, based in France, to be preserved.

According to Matteo Mastrotto, CEO of Rino Mastrotto Group, Prada's entry represents the continuation of a path already underway, with the aim of strengthening the long-term industrial vision. Patrizio Bertelli, President and Executive Director of the Prada Group, also underlined the strategic importance of the operation, which consolidates a crucial phase of the production process.

The closing is expected between the end of the second and the beginning of the third quarter of 2025, subject to the occurrence of the conditions precedent.

Among the parties involved in the operation is also Renaissance Partners, current partner of Rino Mastrotto, who commented positively on Prada's entry into the capital.
