The launch of the new Atlas Tan product line: bisphenol-free and formaldehyde-free tanning agents to minimise environmental impact 

Always attentive to quality, innovation, and sustainability, the Leather Kem company has recently launched its new Atlas Tan product line on the leather market. Atlas Tan is made using biotechnology from food waste to obtain bisphenol-free and formaldehyde-free tanning agents. As the name suggests, the chemical part of  the line was studied by its partner company Atlas Refinery, while the application and technical part was achieved in the Leather Kem company laboratories in Castelfranco di Sotto. These are therefore highly sustainable products, with high performance in leather tanning and in full respect of the criteria of the circular economy because they are made from the recovery of waste from the food chain. In this way, the Leather Kem company responds promptly and effectively to the needs of the tanning industry, which is now increasingly sensitive to the issue of sustainability and the use of tanning agents capable of minimising their impact on the environment.
