Contract manufacturing and trade in high-end small leather goods
The talent of Italian expertise
Specialised in the production of high-end small leather goods, the Pelletteria Emmegi company was founded in 1985 by Mauro Smorti and his wife Gianna.
Today the company is run by their daughters Sara and Susanna. Emmegi works both as a contract manufacturer for fashion brands as well as for retail trade, supplying the shops in Florence and Rome with leather goods produced according to the dictates of traditional artisanship.
The company has a vast sample book, where clients can draw inspiration for making customized wallets, key rings and coin purses.
Among Emmegi's work, the turning technique stands out, but the company also carries out the border technique and works with precious skins, such as crocodile and ostrich. «We began as a family run company and continue to be so today.
The characteristic that distinguishes us is our vast artisan expertise: in our company, every collaborator can independently complete a wallet, from leather cutting to the final product», says Sara Smorti.
In fact, manual skill and expertise have been the foundation of the company's success for 35 years.
