Piegavelox srl
Creative genius and precision for embroideries and pleats that make the difference
Piegavelox is a true Italian story. It all began with a husband and wife who, in 1960, traveled to Germany to purchase their first pleating machine—built from leftover World War II tank parts—and returned to Empoli, Tuscany, to found what is now a company with 35 employees. «That machine is still in perfect working condition. For us, it’s priceless—not just for sentimental reasons. Even though we have a large and modern fleet of machines for both pleating and embroidery, some clients specifically request that original one, because certain very particular techniques can only be done with it», says Filippo Orefice, grandson of the founders and Head of Sales. Heart and hand, creativity and efficiency. This is the essence of Made in Italy, where technology serves creative brilliance. «In recent years, we’ve adoptedultra-modern machines that allow us to be extremely precise and fast. But craftsmanship remains at the core, because creativity is our strength. We develop three sample collections per year with at least 60 different techniques, all available to our clients, who can either customize them or use them as-is, knowing they’ll then become exclusive to them». For brands, this means a constantly renewed source of inspiration and ideas—an incredible advantage, especially considering that these techniques can be applied to both leather and fabric. «In the future, we aim to strengthen our core values, with a presence at international trade fairs, and expand our horizons, starting with our debut at Milano Unica, which reflects a renewed focus on fabrics. We believe our expertise can be a major asset for fashion companies: our techniques are truly unique in their complexity and creativity».
