Vicenza hosted from September 2 to 4 the first edition of The Vicenza Symposium, three days that transformed the Basilica Palladiana into the world capital of hi-tech innovation for jewelry and fashion accessories. Over 170 participants from 15 countries—including companies, brands, academic institutions, and research centers—created a snapshot that connected continents and generations, with a focus on precious materials, automation, sustainability, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
Organized by Italian Exhibition Group in partnership with Legor Group and Progold, with the support of T.Gold and Vicenzaoro shows, the Symposium confirmed the city’s role as an internationally recognized hub for goldsmith culture and innovation applied to the jewelry and fashion supply chains.
At the heart of the event was the scientific program, led by an international committee of eleven experts from Italy, the United States, Switzerland, Germany, and Thailand. A packed schedule of panels addressed the most pressing topics in the sector: from the digital revolution to the search for new materials, from environmental awareness to production quality.
One message ran through all the sessions: engineering and technical progress are tools at the service of human talent. As highlighted by the Symposium’s president, Andrea Zito, innovation must continue to be a field of experimentation, capable of strengthening—not replacing—the artisanal dimension. With the presentation of the first Best Presentation Award, The Vicenza Symposium concluded by sending a strong signal: the international jewelry and accessory supply chain is ready to write its next trajectories starting from here.
