The protagonist of the 42nd edition of Milano Unica is the value of raw materials: in a constantly changing market, premium and luxury place the product, quality, and expertise at the center, all key elements that give value to the identity and credibility of brands.
The Italian trade show for high-end fabrics and accessories, scheduled from January 20 to 22 at Fiera Milano Rho, is evolving and shows overall growth in exhibitors (585, +5.2% compared to the previous edition), with particular attention to European exhibitors, who increased by a remarkable 25%. Among them, Italian exhibitors are fundamental, confirming the event as an indispensable platform for the international promotion of their productions.
The focus of this edition is on the new meaning of luxury, where training plays a central role, seen as a strategic value for the continuity and development of the system. Knowledge, expertise, and generational transfer are crucial in building the future. Additionally, raw materials, a critical element, serve as a bridge between brands and consumers, who today pay increasing attention to the coherence between price and value. Quality and innovation are reflected in materials, performance, details, and durability.
Sustainability is a central value, as demonstrated by the MU Sustainability Trends area (in Hall 8), featuring a selection of products accompanied by a QR code that shows composition, process and product certifications, and the Sustainability Value Pillars, assigned by the Technical Commission — a sort of “green score” for each product.
Globally, the luxury sector is undergoing a profound transformation, a deep redefinition that returns to its roots: expertise, product, and real value. A foundation on which to rebuild dialogue with consumers, where fabric once again becomes a central element among the decisive factors determining the authenticity and credibility of the luxury positioning.
