Loewe reinvents pressed leather

Among the recent experiments by Loewe, two bags made with an innovative pressed leather technique stand out. The protagonists are the two iconic it-bags of the maison, the Puzzle and the Flamenco, proposed with a workmanship that rethinks the craftsmanship of leather in a contemporary way.

The process uses calf nappa and suede leather. The two materials are layered, compressed and then scraped until a uniform surface is obtained. The result is an irregular geometric pattern, in which the alternation between smooth and velvety surfaces is enhanced by the chromatic contrasts, which generate soft shades with iridescent colors.

The nappa structure remains the common base: on the Puzzle the pressed leather appears in a section with an angular cut, while on the Flamenco it develops vertically in the center. Offered in three color variants — Pecan Walnut, Bottle Green and Chocolate — the bags confirm the brand's ability to reinvent the leather tradition with new textures and original workmanship.
