A Universal Machine That Can Perform 70% Of Machining Operations? It Can Be Done

This is the case of Debora Leather Goods, a manufacturing company from Vicenza with more than 20 years of experience, which alongside the activity that made it a benchmark in the sector, created M2I, a division dedicated to supplying machinery for leather goods companies, with new, used, and refurbished solutions, supported by assistance and repair services and, above all, by the transformation of equipment to make it suitable for multiple types of processing.

 

«Over the past ten years there has been a complete change in the way work is done. Trends are seasonal and there are processes that last for one season and then disappear because brands no longer want them. That’s why it is no longer possible to have a machine designed for only one specific task; we need versatile machines capable of covering at least 70% of the work carried out in a company», explains owner Hong Miao Bai.

 

A branch born from an internal need of the company, which later became a service available to everyone and is able to meet the needs of even very small businesses. «We were not structured for this stylistic change and we found ourselves in difficulty. For this reason, we decided to make the solutions we found for ourselves available to others as well: we must help companies survive, not shut down», continues Miao Bai.

 

An approach applied not only to leather goods but to the entire fashion sector. The concept is transformation: taking a machine from one sector, for example garment manufacturing, and adapting it to leather goods by making it work even on the thick materials required in that field.

 

«We listen to clients to understand which technical innovations are needed, and we try to support the pattern maker, the designer, the professional figure who wants to bring a specific process from one sector to another. There is no such thing as “it can’t be done”; we try to find a path to make it happen».
