A record of 723 exhibitors and a +30.5% of foreign visitors: Milano Unica ended with a very positive balance that makes us look to the future with optimism. Also for the commitment in the field of sustainability: the fair continues its commitment to finding companies that make environmental responsibility their focus, dedicating a space to green start-ups. We have chosen 3 that struck us.

LABELS TO PLANTED

The gesture of when we buy a new garment is always the same: when we get home we detach the label and throw it in the paper bin. With Piantami it could change: this start-up produces paper that has seeds inside, which can therefore be buried to give life to different types of plants. A gesture that minimizes waste and gives even more value to our purchases.

BUTTONS MADE OF SCRAPS

Where do the buttons of your clothes come from? CDC Studio's are made of warehouse waste from textile and leather supply chain companies: thanks to a patented process, they are transformed into a new material, a polymer that has the characteristic of being shaped as desired and of being infinitely recyclable.

AN E-COMMERCE OF GREEN MATERIALS

For those who start a new clothing brand, one of the most complicated parts is finding certified companies to buy fabrics from. The problem is certainly not their existence, but knowing them. That's why Damo Studio has created a platform that brings together companies that produce certified fabrics, so as to make it easier for the consumer to purchase.
