Dami experiments with "artificial intelligence" in soles

“On your feet” ... literally. A saying that often alludes to the dignity of those who know how to pick themselves up. Sometimes the English language also uses this expression to refer to someone who thinks in an original way, with quick, non-conforming answers. With a far-sighted mindset the Dami company from the Marche region has been producing footwear bottoms for over 50 years. The company presented the first artificial intelligence experiments to turbocharge the creative processes for the study of shoe soles at Lineapelle last February.

In fact, during the prototype design phase, by entering a series of parameters, algorithms automatically return the best fit between the hypothesised sole model and the one that conforms best to the specific requirements. This is a process innovation that requires the ability to face challenges with a proactive approach, generate new ideas, and question, where necessary, even traditional methods. Green, orange, and mauve are the colours of the Marche company’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection. Low heeled sandals, loafers, and running shoes, matched with the dynamism of those who walk forward without any fear of the future.
